WHAT YOU DON’T SEE ON GOOGLE FONT

I am a serial accumulator of fonts, always looking for new ones for the digital projects I follow.

By thoroughly analyzing the #Googlefonts database, I realized that there are many fonts with interesting characteristics that are not identifiable and enhanced by a “classic” search.

I therefore decided to dedicate a weekly column to enhance a single font taken from GoogleFonts to visually extrapolate its peculiarities, weights, letters and symbols.

All this made with #figma and transposed onto what I consider a visual and communicative impact tool like the #poster.

The materials produced will then be distributed free both in vector format and in the Figma community in open format.

In the hope of helping and stimulating colleagues and not to a more conscious use of #tipography.

Let’s start with the Syne font that you can download from the official website: https://bit.ly/2O7nmqy

A variable font readable in small sizes and with traditional weights but which gives its best on very high weights such as extra-bold. Some letters such as lowercase g and uppercase Q are strongly characterizing.
